Leviathan Environmental Services, LLC is a marine and aquatic research support enterprise, owned and operated by Stephen LaMothe. Mr. LaMothe is a USCG licensed captain and has over 20 years of extensive experience in marine and aquatic investigations that includes: field management, field sampling, planning research, vessel operations, dredge material disposal studies, water quality, storm water, health and safety, and terrestrial site investigations.
Leviathan was created in 2009 to help facilitate the need for efficient and cost effective research support for clients in need of mobile vessels and equipment to safely satisfy project requirements. Currently, Leviathan maintains a number of mobile vessels (33 ft. twin 225 4 stroke powered catamaran landing craft, 26 ft. Tritoon Research vessel with A-frame and winch, 22 ft. jet vessel with articulating A-frame for deploying smaller sampling gear, 16 ft. portable pontoon sampling platform and several smaller jon and inflatable vessels. and sampling equipment (Gravity RIC6500 Vibracore, SDI 24V Vibecore, Gravity Pneumatic Power Grab, Van Veen, Ponar, etc) to fit the needs of a project.
Leviathan was formed to utilize Mr. LaMothes' experience and expertise with well maintained equipment and meld with client assets and personnel to efficiently complete marine and aquatic field projects from start to finish.
